Writing Resources - Challenges
Challenge #1: Watching Mr. Wyndham-Price
Dawn didn't exist when Wesley was acting as Buffy's watcher in Sunnydale, but she thinks that she did and she has memories from that time. Mandatory: include Dawn's first impression of Wesley; story does not have to be in form of a journal entry, but Dawn writing in her journal has to be part of the story; Dawn compares Wesley with the only other British people she's met (any or all: Giles, Dru, Spike, made-up character); there is one thing about Wesley (some mannerism, pattern, habit) that Dawn becomes obsessed with and writes about profusely; nothing can happen that will cause deviation from canon (random examples: Wesley can't stay in Sunnydale, Dawn can't kill Buffy). Optional: someone reads Dawn's journal; Dawn throws a tantrum; some darker aspect of Wesley is revealed in the story.
Challenge #2: Christmas Greetings
Angel and the gang come to Sunnydale for the holidays. Dawn is upset because she has already made plans with Wesley. Reguired: big fight breaks out between the AI Team/Scoobies about Buffy/Spike, Angel/Cordelia, Cordelia/Connor; Dawn sneaking out to meet Wesley; Wes/Dawn picnicking, exchanging gifts - Wes's gift: a book, Dawn's gift:a dagger; Dawn telling Wesley she had a crush on him; Wes/Dawn smoochies.
Challenge #3: Sixteen Candles
As taken for the movie with the same name:) Everybody forgets Dawn's birthday due to a big bad or something. Wesley shows up and takes her out to dinner. Required: one of the Scoobies catches them kissing in the graveyard.
Challenge #4: His Girl Friday
Dawn is mind-numbingly bored with her new life in Cleveland so Wesley offers her a job to come and work as his assistant which she graciously accepts. Must Include: Dawn finding out that W&H rigged the Oscars; our duo snooping around the darkened offices of W&H; late night demon hunting; Chinese food; lots of sexual tension resolving in kissage .
